All patrons with a university disciplenet number (i.e. students, staff, and faculty) can place a hold on an item that is currently checked out to another patron.

When you search for an item in the catalog and there is a due date in the status column, this means that another patron has the item checked out. If you would like the item, you may place a hold on it by clicking the “Request” button. Enter your name and your disciplenet ID number. When the item is returned to the library, you will be notified by email and the item will be held for you for seven days.

You may also request the same title from another library using MeLCat or Interibrary Loan.
